Longstanding EM Value Equities portfolio managers Juan Torres and Vera German have flipped to Neuberger Berman, announcing their appointments this month as managing directors and senior co-PMs, carrying on the strategy from their previous posts at Schroders.

In a personal note, German suggested the buildout at NB will continue to focus on identifying "flinch factor" in underserved equities markets, "driving substantial valuation discount to fair value." She had previously served on the Global Income Growth Team at Ballie Gifford before nearly seven years at Schroders.

Torres, likewise, had been with the firm for nearly a decade. Prior to Schroders Torres served with teams at Pictet and Credit Suisse, and began his career in his native Colombia.

He and German combined to manage the well-regarded, ca. $300 million Schroders' International Selection Fund for EM Value before the move, which comes after a strategic reorganization that consolidated the firm's value franchise under a global umbrella last fall.
